Note: Die Angabe bei Adami, Varenna, Margherita von Savoyen sei mit einem "Simone Serponti", Sohn von Giovanni, verheiratet gewesen, ist irreführend. Tatsächlich war sie mit einem Simon, Graf von Saarbrücken-Commercy, Sohn des Grafen Johann I. von Saarbrücken-Commercy, verheiratet. Es sei allerdings noch darauf hingewiesen, dass die engere Verwandtschaft aus der Saarbrücker Linie offenbar auch Verbindungen nach Zypern hat; ein Sohn eines Cousins von Simon starb dort 1396.
